Who we are
Broke Estate Pty Ltd (ABN 72 813 587 552) runs Broke Estate, 1260 Broke Road, Broke NSW 2330. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect, and why
- Bookings. When you book a stay, our booking system (Hospitable) collects your name, contact details, stay dates and guest numbers so we can confirm and host your stay. Card payments are processed by Hospitable’s payment provider; we never see your full card number.
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email, optional phone number and your message by email, so we can reply.
- Mailing list. If you sign up, we keep your email and first name in Brevo, our email service, and send you a few emails a year. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Wine orders. Our online wine shop is run on Square, which handles those orders and payments under its own privacy policy.
- Website use. We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use our website, such as which pages they visit and roughly where they’re from. It sets cookies and doesn’t tell us who you are. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. The map on our contact page is from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads.
Who we share it with
Only the services above that help us run the business (Hospitable, Brevo, Square, Cloudflare, Google, and Resend, which delivers our website’s emails), and only for those purposes, or where the law requires it. Some of these services store data outside Australia. We don’t sell or rent your information.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept as long as we need them for tax and legal purposes, usually seven years. Enquiry emails and mailing-list details are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until they’re no longer needed.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email info@brokeestate.com.au and we’ll tell you what we hold, fix it, or delete it. There is no charge. We may need to confirm who you are first.
